But, I love when the prices come down and the average person can finally afford it. I used to just have to order TVs and stereos. But, now I could easily have playstations, satellites and everything else on my list.

Comment on Stop Paying More Than You Have To!

I certainly agree that comfort in our homes should not cost much. Like me, I search for <a href=<a href="http://chazangelo.blogspot.com/>coupon">http://chazangelo.blogspot.com/>coupon codes for home improvements in the Internet. This way, it doesn’t just help me reduce my cost in repairs and maintenance, but also in buying the materials for the improvement. It helps me purchase less-expensive items, and still allows me to improve my home the way I want it to be. This would really be helpful for people who want to improve their homes, and save energy and additional money. Thanks.

Comment on Basic Home Improvement Energy and Money Saving Ideas

Building solar panels, planting trees in areas to cool off the interior of the house, and improving windows are the most important home improvement ideas. Not all boards of as waterproof as they seem. The best is using a hardie board or durarock, not necessarily the "green" board.

Allison

Comment on Conserve By Installing a New Thermostat

In my county, Fairfax, VA, we even have a program, where the company supplied us with a test thermostat that links to the internet, so we can control the settings online. If we forgot to turn down the heat, we can go online from work and do so. What a money saver (so you are not waiting 8 hours or more) just to get home.

Allison

Comment on Home Improvement With Flooring And Concrete

Also know that concrete has a mind of its own so when you acid stain, it may not be uniform, but that is the uniqueness of doing an acid stain. If you want uniformity, you can actually put a skim coat layer of concrete (almost like a self-leveler) to achieve a more uniform pattern of concrete.

Allison

Comment on Concrete Basics

We have come across this very issue with concrete cracking, but your article is right, even with the best skilled person and the best used methods, concrete will eventually crack just due to Mother Nature.

Comment on Energy & Money Saving Tips with Simple Home Improvements

These are great tips - I'm always baffled as to how easy it can be to save energy (and dollar bills!) Simply unplugging things like a phone charger or laptop computer can help so much.
